Job summary

VASA Fitness seeks a Group Fitness Instructor (GFI) to lead high-energy classes at our Waterloo, IA location. You will welcome members, demonstrate moves safely, and foster an uplifting, inclusive atmosphere within each session.

The role requires 0–1 year of fitness experience, NCCA certification, CPR/AED, and relevant format certifications. Training begins as the club opens, with benefits and growth opportunities in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• 0-1 year experience in personal/group fitness leads to GFI role.
• NCCA-accredited Personal Training or Group Fitness Certification is required.
• Current CPR/AED certification is required.
• Yoga certification (200 or 500 hour) preferred.
• Cycle certifications (Schwinn, Spinning, Beatboss, AFAA Indoor Cycling) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-energy, inclusive group fitness classes.
• Greet members and ensure a safe, welcoming class environment.
• Demonstrate exercises safely and monitor participants.
• Maintain room setup and post-class cleanup.
• Promote classes to retain and attract participants.
