Catalyst Family Inc. is seeking After School Instructors to support students TK–8th grade with tutoring, homework help, and enrichment at designated sites in Redwood City.

The role emphasizes high energy, organized planning, and collaboration with school staff to integrate Catalyst programs with the school day. Typical responsibilities include delivering curriculum, tracking progress, ensuring safety, and maintaining professional communication with families and Site Coordinators.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• College units in education, recreation, or child development are desired.
• 6+ months’ experience working with children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide tutoring and homework assistance to help students meet national standards.
• Collaborate with Site Coordinator to implement Catalyst ExpandEd Learning curriculum and procedures.
• Provide educational enrichment including youth development strategies and life skills.
• Work with site staff and district personnel to support programs.
• Track students’ progress using programmatic protocols.
• Maintain a safe environment and complete required safety documentation.
• Attend staff and district meetings and participate in site events.
• Support DEI practices in department operations.
