Job summary

Catalyst Family Inc. is seeking an After School Instructor in San Jose, CA to work Monday through Friday, 1pm–6pm. You will provide tutoring, homework help, and enrichment while coordinating with the Site Coordinator to align Catalyst ExpandEd Learning curriculum with school activities.

Maintain a safe, organized classroom and document student progress. Ideal candidates are energetic, highly organized, and able to foster positive youth development, teamwork, and effective communication with

Qualifications

• Must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent.
• District requirements may vary; paraprofessional cert may be needed.
• Education-related college units desired but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide tutoring and homework assistance to help students meet national standards.
• Collaborate with Site Coordinator to implement curriculum and procedures.
• Provide educational enrichment and positive youth development activities.
• Maintain safe environment and proper supervision of up to 20 students.
• Track attendance and student progress; complete safety documentation.
• Prepare lesson plans weekly and participate in staff and district meetings.
