Job summary

Catalyst Family Inc. is seeking After School Instructors to work with groups of up to 20 students TK-8th grade, focusing on tutoring, homework help, and enrichment activities on site in Oxnard, CA.

The role requires energy, strong organization, and excellent communication. Training on health, safety, and DEI will be provided, with opportunities for professional growth and collaboration with site staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Paraprofessional requirements vary by district offering the job.
• 6+ months of experience with children preferred.
• Must meet state fingerprint LIVE SCAN requirements and safety trainings (CPR/First Aid, Medical Certificate/TD Test, Mandated Reporter).

Responsibilities

• Provides tutoring and homework assistance to help students meet standards.
• Collaborates with Site Coordinator to implement Catalyst Expanded Learning curriculum and procedures.
• Provides educational enrichment including life skills and recreation activities.
• Maintains a safe, organized classroom and supervises up to 20 students.
• Keeps progress using programmatic documentation and reports.
• Communicates regularly with Site Coordinator about program operations.
• Participates in professional development and DEI initiatives.
