Job summary

Mi Escuela Montessori is seeking an energetic After School Assistant to support the After Care Program. You will supervise students, plan activities, and promote a safe, engaging environment before and after school.

Hours are 2:30 PM–5:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with potential for additional hours. The role requires strong communication and ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with CPR/First Aid preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree preferred.
• Experience with children in school, recreation, coaching, or childcare settings preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and participate in physical activities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during after care program.
• Plan and lead age-appropriate games, recreational activities, homework support, and enrichment opportunities.
• Maintain a safe, structured, and welcoming environment for all students.
• Monitor student behavior and communicate any concerns to school administration and parents as appropriate.
• Assist with student sign-in/sign-out procedures and ensure students are released only to authorized individuals.
• Support snack distribution and cleanup following school guidelines.
