Agape United Daycare is seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic 2-Year-Old Lead Teacher to create a safe, loving, and engaging classroom environment for our toddlers.

As Lead Teacher, you will plan age-appropriate activities, maintain a consistent daily routine, support positive behavior, and collaborate with your classroom team to keep the room organized, clean, and welcoming. Minimum education is high school or equivalent; South Carolina childcare staff requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Must meet applicable South Carolina childcare staff requirements.
• Prior experience with toddlers or young children preferred.
• Ability to safely supervise and actively engage 2-year olds.
• Plan and carry out age-appropriate activities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, dependable and punctual.
• Patient, nurturing and calm with toddler behaviors.
• Follow classroom routines, daycare policies and safety procedures.
• Willing to complete childcare training and professional development.
• Able to pass required background checks and meet employment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, loving, and responsive care to 2-year-old children.
• Plan and lead fun, age-appropriate learning activities.
• Support language, social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Establish and maintain a predictable daily classroom routine.
• Encourage independence with age-appropriate tasks and self-help skills.
• Guide children through positive behavior and redirection.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom.
• Communicate professionally with parents and families; complete classroom documentation and daily responsibilities.
• Work as a team with assistant teachers and other staff.
• Follow daycare policies, procedures, and safety expectations.
