Job summary

Ameristar Perimeter Security USA is seeking an Endweld Operator in Tulsa, OK. You will off-load and inspect parts, place them in racks, and help keep the mill running smoothly on shift.

Qualifications include reading part drawings, using calipers and tape measures, and operating roll tooling and forklifts. You will collaborate with maintenance to resolve issues and strive for efficiency and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Education: High school or equivalent.
• Experience: Experience in using special measuring devices, calipers, tape measure.
• Must be able to read part drawings to perform product inspections.
• Roll Tooling experience with set ups and change over.
• Demonstrated ability to meet negotiated time frames.
• Forklift proficiency.
• Good communication skills with coworkers to insure continuous flow of the mill.
• Ability to think and react to schedule changes and conditions on the mill.
• Ability to be a contributing and valued team member for continuous improvement activities.

Responsibilities

• Safety, quality, priorities above all Focus on the keeping the mill operational
• Maintain clean, safe ,organized work area, 5S
• Assist in the change over processes of the mill.
• TPM of process and equipment in the area
• Coordinate daily and weekly activities with department supervisor
• Perform visual quality checks for straightness, galv integrity, length to meet quality requirements
• Able to work with maintenance hands on to get issues resolved in a timely manner
• Focus on mill production efficiency, problem resolution, cost saving opportunities.
