Job summary

Panthalassa, a renewable energy and ocean technology company in Portland, Oregon, seeks an Endpoint Engineer to own how every laptop, phone, and office device is deployed, secured, and kept healthy. This hands-on, high-ownership role sits with IT Support and will scale device management with zero-touch deployment and BYOD policies.

You'll mentor the IT Support Specialists, write runbooks in Confluence, and design endpoint controls aligned with security and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience administering endpoint management including MDM, device compliance, and application deployment.
• Experience building or running zero touch deployment at scale (Autopilot, ADE, or equivalent).
• Ability to write clear documentation and translate policy into technical controls.
• Comfort identifying and solving complex hardware/OS issues across abstraction layers.

Responsibilities

• Administer MDM platforms for Windows and macOS devices, including enrollment and policies.
• Architect and rollout zero touch provisioning (Windows Autopilot and ADE).
• Drive device enrollment to full coverage with regular audits.
• Design BYOD enrollment workflows enabling secure access from personal devices.
• Own the device lifecycle: procurement, refresh, repair, decommissioning.
• Mentor IT Support Specialists and write runbooks in Confluence.
