Job summary

The University of Rochester is hiring an IT Support Technician in Rochester, NY for full-time work. You will provide first and second level support for end-user computing devices, including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices, in a university setting.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting OS, connectivity and application issues, deploying devices, and contributing to endpoint support strategies. Willingness to travel between sites and work flexible shifts is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years of relevant experience required.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to travel between work sites; flexibility to work 24/7 coverage including nights/weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provides first and second level technical support for end-user computing devices, including desktops, laptops and mobile devices.
• Troubleshoots and resolves end-user device issues, in-person or remotely; assists with setup, configuration and maintenance of endpoint devices.
• Acts as primary point of contact for end-users resolving device-related OS, connectivity or application issues.
• Manages setup, configuration, maintenance and deployment of endpoint devices.
• Assists with developing strategy for endpoint device support.
