Job summary

Baptist Health Downtown is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join the Endoscopy Team. This full-time days position supports procedures, ensures a sterile environment, and hands instruments to surgeons while prioritizing patient safety.

The role requires call, basic Life Support certification, and a high school diploma. Less than one year of Endoscopy/Surgical Technologist experience is preferred. Located in Downtown Jacksonville, with opportunities for a sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Less than 1 year Surgical Technologist/Endoscopy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, organize and maintain a sterile field for procedures.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and case progression; prepare accordingly.
• Hand instruments to surgeons during procedures and maintain patient safety.
• Dispose of specimens and instruments properly.

This is a Full-time Days position, 40 hours per week. This position requires call and qualifies for competitive call differentials.As a surgical technologist in this role, you will work as part of the surgical services teams in the Endoscopy unit. The individual will assist the team during procedures, ensure a sterile environment, hand instruments to surgeons during procedures, and maintain patient safety.
