Job summary

Baptist Health in Jacksonville is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to support our Endoscopy Team at Baptist Medical Center Downtown. This is a Full-time Days position, 40 hours per week with call responsibilities and competitive call differentials.

As a member of the Endoscopy unit, you will assemble and maintain a sterile field, hand instruments to surgeons, and help minimize anesthesia time while ensuring patient safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• BLS required (AHA).
• Less than 1 year Surgical Technologist experience.
• Less than 1 year Endoscopy Technologist experience.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, organize and maintain a sterile field for operative procedures.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and progression of the case.
• Proper disposition of specimens and instruments.
• Work with the surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety.
• Call is required for this position.

Baptist Health is looking for an experienced Surgical Technologist to support our Endoscopy Team at Baptist Medical Center Downtown. This is a Full-time Days position, 40 hours per week. This position requires call and qualifies for competitive call differentials.

As a surgical technologist in this role, you will work as part of the surgical services teams in the Endoscopy unit. The individual will assist the team during procedures, ensure a sterile environment, hand instruments to surgeons during procedures, and maintain patient safety. Throughout the day, precision, attention to detail, and teamwork are paramount in providing quality patient care.

As a Surgical Technologist for the Endoscopy unit, your responsibilities and qualifications will include:

Assembling, organizing and maintaining a sterile field for operative procedures

Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and progression of the case and prepare accordingly

Proper disposition of specimens and instruments

Works with entire surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety

Call is required for this position.

Experience Requirements:

Less than 1 year Surgical Technologist Experience

Less than 1 year Endoscopy Technologist Experience Required

Education & Credential Requirements:

High School Diploma Required

Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
