Job summary

Baptist Health in Jacksonville is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join our Surgical Services Team at Baptist Medical Center Beaches. This full-time day shift role supports surgeons and the operating room by maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring efficient procedures.

Candidates must be flexible to work weekends and holidays and participate in required call rotation. An Associate's degree is required, BLS is required, and CST certification is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Surgical Technology or equivalent required.
• BLS certification required.
• CST certification through NBSTSA or NCCT preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, organize, and maintain a sterile field for operative procedures.
• Anticipate the surgeon's needs and prepare instruments and supplies accordingly.
• Ensure proper handling and disposition of surgical specimens and instruments.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety.
• Participate in the required call rotation.

As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in supporting surgeons and the operating room team by maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring safe, efficient surgical procedures.

As a Surgical Technologist, Your Responsibilities Include

Experience Requirements

• Less than 1 year Surgical Technologist Experience

Education & Credential Requirements

• Associate's degree required or equivalent experience in lieu of education.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA or NCCT preferred, but not required.
