Job summary

Hackensack Endoscopy Center is seeking a full-time Endoscopy Technologist to join a dedicated medical team. The role involves assisting physicians during GI procedures, preparing and sterilizing equipment, and ensuring accurate documentation of specimens and procedures.

Qualified candidates will have 2+ years of Endoscopy Tech experience, GI/Endoscopy procedure familiarity, and a BLS certification. A sign-on bonus of $2,500 is offered along with competitive hourly pay in a patient-focused

2+ years of experience as an Endoscopy Tech required.
Experience working in GI/Endoscopy procedures required.
BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

Physician procedure assistance-Technical skill during procedures to anticipate the physician’s needs and have supplies and equipment at hand.
Room set-up and cleaning-Set up and care of scopes, room, procedure computers, and other procedure equipment.
Care and cleaning of scopes-Care of scopes to ensure they are not damaged during procedures or cleaning; ensure infection control compliance.
Medical record documentation and specimen handling-Documentation in the medical record of procedure performed and specimens retrieved; prep for pathology.
