Job summary

University of Utah Health seeks a PRN Endoscopy Support Aide to assist physicians and ensure readiness of endoscopy equipment. The role involves direct patient care, assisting with procedures, and rotating shifts including nights and weekends in Farmington Health Center.

Responsibilities cover patient prep, vitals, room turnover, transport, and participation in mandatory in-services such as infection control and CPR. The position emphasizes reliability and teamwork in a 24/7 health system.

Qualifications

• Current EMT-Advanced certification in Utah, or EMT-Basic with 1 year healthcare experience, or Paramedic, or CNA with 1 year healthcare experience, or Surgical Technician, or Medical Assisting program completion.
• Endoscopy experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work rotating shifts including nights/weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations by taking vitals and recording history.
• Assist with endoscopy procedures and document supplies.
• Monitor and clean exam rooms and equipment; restock and report needs.
• Provide patient education materials and assist with transportation as needed.
• Attend mandatory in-services (infection control, safety, CPR, equipment usage).
• Support physicians and RNs during medical emergencies and patient care activities.
