Job summary

Memorial Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks an Endoscopy Tech (PRN) to support endoscopy procedures and patient care. You will prepare the Endoscopy suite, handle scopes and supplies, and assist physicians during procedures.

Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, ensuring proper reprocessing, transporting patients, and documenting sterility and disinfection steps in accordance with guidelines.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Surgical Tech program preferred.
• License: Surgical Tech preferred.
• Certifications: BLS within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepares Endoscopy suite with solutions, scopes, equipment and supplies.
• Ensures good working order of scopes and equipment.
• Validates complete reprocessing of scopes for every procedure.
• Assists with preparing, transporting, and positioning patients.
• Passes scopes and supplies to assist physician during endoscopy.
• Accounts for use of supplies during procedures.
• Receives and processes specimens for lab delivery.
• Performs scope decontamination and high-level disinfection per guidelines.
• Operates department equipment per manufacturer instructions.
• Documents sterility and chemical indicators per policy.
• Monitors antimicrobial/disinfection solutions as required.
