Job summary

Intermountain Health Riverton Hospital is seeking an Endoscopy Technician I to support diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures in a fast-paced setting. You will assist with colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, and related procedures under RN supervision.

Responsibilities include equipment prep, room turnover, tissue handling, infection control, and safe specimen management. The role may require on-call duties and participation in safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must have BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Preferred: prior endoscopy or procedural experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs entry-level endoscopic procedures with strict safety protocols.
• Prepares equipment and supplies per procedure type and provider requirements.
• Assists with room turnover and handles emergent equipment appropriately.
• Maintains safety with tissue and specimen handling and disposal.
• Practices infection prevention and high-level disinfection standards.
• Operates specialized equipment and supports in ICU/OR settings.
• Anticipates provider and patient needs and acts within scope.
• Transports inpatients between departments as needed.
