Job summary

United Pacific Surgery Center in Los Angeles is seeking a part-time Endoscopy Tech (PRN) to assist in endoscopy procedures under RN/physician supervision. You will help with patient care, equipment handling, and room turnover, while communicating patient data and age-appropriate needs to the team.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 1+ year Endoscopy Tech experience, and knowledge of gastroenterology procedures. CPR/BLS is required; certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of gastroenterology procedures.
• Endoscopy Tech certification is a plus.
• Current CPR or BLS accredited by AHA.

What You Will Do (Job Summary)

The Endoscopy Technician assists with delegated tasks of direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse and/or physicians in endoscopy. This technician has the responsibility to assist with the assessment of patient needs and follows through with the designated plan of action. Additionally, the Endoscopy Tech is responsible for the care, handling, and processing of endoscopy procedural equipment and turnover of the procedure room(s). This individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development within their scope and appropriately interpret and communicate information relative to the patient’s age-specific needs. This individual effectively communicates data reflective of the patient’s status, delegated tasks and/or functions.

Monday-Friday work schedule

NO call required

NO Nights, NO Weekends, NO Holiday work hours

Starting Hourly Range: $25.00 - $31.00/hour based on experience

Required Skills:

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years Endoscopy Tech experience
• Must have working knowledge of standard gastroenterology procedures
• Endoscopy Tech certification is a plus
• Current CPR or BLS accredited by AHA (or will obtain within 30 days of employment)
