Job summary

SCA Health in New Jersey seeks an Endoscopy Technician to support GI procedures, promote patient safety, and maintain sterile technique. You will assist the endoscopist, manage instruments, and ensure equipment readiness.

The role requires a High School diploma, GI tech experience preferred, and BCLS certification within 90 days. You will work within a multidisciplinary team and participate in safety and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Prior GI Tech experience preferred.
• Successful completion of BCLS Course within 90 days of employment or current BCLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA Health.
• Assist during endoscopy procedures, protect the patient from injury, and ensure equipment readiness.
• Assemble supplies and equipment required for the procedure and maintain an organized sterile field.
• Provide instruments and supplies to the endoscopist during the procedure and assist with specimen handling.
• Participate in safety, quality improvement, and team communication throughout the shift.
