Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an Endoscopy Support Technician to join the team. Under supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will perform basic patient care duties, reprocess endoscopes, assist physicians during procedures, and help prepare rooms for the next case.

No prior experience is required. A high school diploma or equivalent is needed; vaccination against influenza is required. The role offers a path to learning infection control and equipment handling in a busy Endoscopy area.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients as delegated by RN and complete basic care tasks.
• Reprocesses endoscopes according to infection control guidelines.
• Assists physician and RN during Endoscopy procedures (EGD, colonoscopy, etc.).
• Keeps accurate documentation for cleaning and testing.
• Stocks Pyxis stations and maintains supplies.
• Reports equipment issues to Lead Endoscopy Technician.
