Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Grove City, OH is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to support the endoscopy department under RN supervision. The role involves preparing, maintaining, and cleaning equipment, assisting in invasive procedures, and ensuring a safe GI area.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and basic communication skills; prior patient care or health-related training is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalency required.
• Previous patient care experience and/or technical education in health-related field preferred
• Effective Communication Skills
• Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal relations skills.
• Basic computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the preparation, maintenance and cleaning of equipment and supplies and assists in performing invasive endoscopic procedures
• Processes tissue and bodily fluids specimens
• Maintains the GI procedure area in a clean, safe condition. Ensures necessary equipment and supplies are available for procedures
• Acts as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience
