Job summary

The Iowa Clinic is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to join our team in Central Iowa. The role focuses on cleaning, reprocessing, and maintaining endoscopes and related accessories, while assisting physicians during procedures and collecting specimens for pathology.

The position also involves collaborating with Endoscopy Center personnel to ensure high-quality patient care and safety, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Qualifications

• On the job training provided.
• Previous experience in reprocessing or certified medical/nursing assistant experience is preferred.
• Ideal candidate will assist the physician during procedures and collect specimens for pathology.

Responsibilities

• Clean, reprocess and maintain endoscopes and accessories.
• Assist physician during procedures and collect specimens for pathology.
• Cooperate with Endoscopy Center staff to deliver quality patient care.
• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision.

• An Endoscopy Tech performs duties related to the cleaning, reprocessing and maintaining endoscopes and accessories.
• Ideal candidates will be able to assist the physician during procedures and assist with collection of specimens for pathology.
• Maintains ability to cooperate assist and share responsibilities with Endoscopy Center personnel in providing quality patient care and services.
