Milford Regional Medical Center is a full-service, community and regional teaching hospital with 145 beds, serving a region of 20+ towns. Our team includes over 300 primary care and specialty physicians who utilize advanced procedures and technology to provide personalized patient care in a warm environment.

Statement of Purpose:

The Endoscopy Technician performs duties related to patient care, maintenance of GI Flexible Endoscopes and Accessories, and provides technical support to nursing staff and physicians in the Endoscopy Unit.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

1. Clean and disinfect GI endoscopes and instruments according to manufacturer guidelines and hospital standards.
2. Assist in procedures.
3. Set up and break down patient procedure rooms.
4. Assist with ordering and restocking supplies.
5. Perform care and maintenance of GI Endoscopes.

Qualifications

Education:

• High School Graduate or GED. Specialized training/experience in processing instruments, especially Flexible Endoscopes, is a plus.

Skills, Certification, License:

• Current CPR certification.
• Endoscopy technician experience required.

Orientation includes 6-8 weeks in the Endoscopy Suite with ongoing training and customized procedures. Basic computer skills are needed.

MRMC Differentials:

Hospital differentials include: $3.50/hour for evenings, $4.75/hour for nights, and $2.75/hour for weekends. All differentials are paid per hospital policy.
