Job summary

Stark Ambulatory Surgery Center seeks a dedicated Endoscopy Tech to join their team. The role focuses on providing professional care to patients undergoing GI and PAIN management procedures, maintaining the GI area, and assisting physicians with GI procedures.

The candidate will prep equipment, document intra-procedure notes, and support Preop and Recovery. A weekday schedule with no holidays or weekends is required, with some later evenings possible.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Medical assistant certification.
• Certification in Operating Room Technology is a plus.
• Current BLS required.
• ACLS preferred.
• Knowledge of OR and GI policies and procedures.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Manual dexterity to handle instruments quickly.
• Conscientious, organized, and able to handle OR & GI lab stress.
• Team player.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
• Must be able to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare equipment and anticipate physician and patient needs for GI procedures.
• Oversee GI procedures and maintain GI procedure area.
• Assist physicians during GI procedures.
• Preop and Recovery support including turning over bays, discharge of patients, basic patient assistance and stocking.
• Maintain cleanliness and stocking of the GI area and equipment.
• Position requires weekday work with no holidays or weekends; some evenings may be required.
