Job summary

Norwood Endoscopy Center is looking for a Full Time Endoscopy Tech to support GI and PAIN procedures in a surgical center. You will prepare equipment, assist physicians, and help in Preop and Recovery while maintaining a clean GI area.

The role requires a high school diploma, BLS, and supportive teamwork in a fast-paced environment. Benefits and competitive wages are offered for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Certification in Operating Room Technology a plus.
• Current BLS required.
• MA Certification preferred.
• Knowledge of policies and procedures specific to the OR and GI.
• Strong Customer Service Skills.
• Manual dexterity to handle instruments quickly.
• Must be conscientious, organized and able to handle the stress of a busy operating room & GI lab environment.
• Must be able to function as a team player.
• Possess the ability to lift 25 pounds.
• Must be able to communicate and understand the English language.

Responsibilities

• Render professional care to patients undergoing GI and PAIN procedures within the surgical center.
• Prepare equipment and anticipate physician and patient needs for GI procedures.
• Maintain the GI procedure area and equipment.
• Assist in Preop and Recovery with turnover, discharge, basic patient help and stocking.
• Document intra-procedure notes and assist physicians on GI procedures.
