Job summary

St. Francis Hospital, The Heart Center® in New York invites an Endoscopy Technician to join its skilled team. You will set up, sterilize, and troubleshoot endoscopes, assist physicians and nurses during procedures, and help ensure patient safety and comfort during GI assessments.

Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED, CET certification, and BLS from American Heart Association. 1–2 years in healthcare preferred; be able to stand long hours and follow infection-control procedures.

Qualifications

• Certified Endoscopy Technician (CET) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• 1–2 years healthcare experience preferred.
• Infection control knowledge and ability to stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Set up, sterilize, and troubleshoot endoscopes.
• Pass instruments during procedures (e.g., colonoscopies).
• Handle pathology specimens, monitor patient vitals, and clean/restock suites post-procedure.
