Job summary

Eastside Medical Center is seeking an Endoscopy Unit Clerk to assist physicians during endoscopic procedures and maintain supplies and equipment in the Endoscopy Department. You will also perform patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse and handle clerical duties to ensure smooth ambulatory care operations.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of GI/OR Technology program preferred.
• Graduate of CNA/MA program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists the physician in the performance of endoscopic procedures.
• Maintains supplies and equipment in the Endoscopy Department in proper working order.
• Cleans and disinfects equipment according to unit and hospital policy.
• Provides appropriate patient care to the Ambulatory Care and Endoscopy patient under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
• Performs clerical duties as necessary to assure optimal function of Ambulatory Care and Endoscopy.
• Assembles and maintains patient chart material, maintains records and files, keeps workstation orderly and clean.
• Completes charges for patients.
