Job summary

Eastside Medical Center is seeking an Endoscopy Unit Support role to assist physicians during endoscopic procedures and maintain equipment in the Endoscopy Department. The position involves patient care under RN supervision and performing clerical duties to ensure smooth ambulatory Endoscopy operations.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED; GI/OR Tech or CNA/MA training is preferred. BLS certification is required upon hire.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• GI/OR Technology program preferred.
• CNA/MA program preferred.
• BCLS certification or equivalent required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist the physician in endoscopic procedures.
• Maintain supplies and equipment in Endoscopy in proper working order.
• Clean and disinfect equipment according to hospital policy.
• Provide patient care to Ambulatory Care and Endoscopy patients under RN direction.
• Assemble and maintain patient chart material and maintain records.

Cleans and disinfects equipment according to unit and hospital policy. Provides appropriate patient care to the Ambulatory Care and Endoscopy patient under the direction of the Registered Nurse. Performance of clerical duties as necessary to assure optimal function of Ambulatory Care and Endoscopy. Assemble and maintain patient chart material, maintain records and files, maintains order, cleanliness of the workstation. Completes charges for patients.
