Job summary

Northwest Ohio Endoscopy Center is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to provide clinical and technical support during endoscopic procedures. You will prepare rooms, assist during procedures, reprocess equipment, and help maintain infection control standards.

You will work with physicians, nurses, and anesthesia staff to ensure safe, efficient patient care and accurate documentation in a fast-paced environment. A basic life support certification is preferred.

Job description

The Endoscopy Technician is responsible for providing technical and clinical support to physicians and nursing staff during endoscopic procedures. This position ensures patient safety by preparing procedure rooms, maintaining and reprocessing endoscopic equipment, assisting during procedures, and adhering to infection prevention standards. The Endoscopy Technician plays an essential role in delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.

Patient Care & Procedure Support
  • Prepare patients for designated endoscopic procedures as directed by the physician and nursing staff.
  • Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures by providing instruments, supplies, and technical support.
  • Promote a safe, respectful, and compassionate environment for patients and their families.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, empathy, sensitivity, and respect in all patient interactions.

  • Accurately complete laboratory requisitions and pathology/culture documentation.
