Job summary

Eastside Medical Center is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to support physicians during endoscopic and interventional procedures. You will maintain supplies and equipment, disinfect and decontaminate instruments, and ensure the Ambulatory Care and Endoscopy areas run smoothly under the direction of the Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities include accurate charting, light clerical tasks, and completing patient charges.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of GI/OR Technology program preferred.
• 2 years of Endoscopy Tech experience required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• GTS certification preferred.
• AGTS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the physician in endoscopic and interventional cases.
• Maintain supplies and equipment in the Endoscopy Department.
• Clean and disinfect equipment according to policy.
• Provide patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
• Perform clerical duties to assure ambulatory care and endoscopy function.
• Assemble and maintain patient chart material; maintain records/files; keep workstation orderly.
• Complete charges for patients.
