Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA is seeking an Endoscopy Technician II for a full-time, on-site role. The position requires assisting physicians with endoscopic procedures, preparing rooms and equipment, and maintaining sterile technique and supplies.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of endoscopy experience, knowledge of GI anatomy, and strong teamwork and communication skills. SGNA certification is preferred, and scheduling flexibility is a must.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of relevant experience required.
• Knowledge of patient care, endoscopy procedures and basic GI anatomy.
• SGNA certification preferred.
• Must be flexible with scheduling.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares procedure rooms for endoscopic procedures.
• Assists with patient transfer to and from procedure rooms, monitors vital signs, and positions patient appropriately.
• Assembles equipment specific to procedure, including scopes and instruments.
• Troubleshoots and ensures proper functioning of computer and equipment.
• Assists physicians and staff with advanced endoscopic procedures and tissue sampling.
• Maintains and supplies stock of instruments and accessories.
• Assists with routine and emergency procedures as assigned.
