Job summary

UMass Memorial Health, a premier health system in Central Massachusetts, is seeking staff for the Endoscopy Unit. The role involves assisting clinical staff, maintaining inventory, reprocessing instruments, and ensuring clean, ready-to-use endoscopy equipment in multiple hospital areas.

Requirements include BLS and SGNA certifications, a high school diploma or equivalent, and preferred credentials such as EMT/CC tech or an associate degree in health care.

Qualifications

• BLS Certification required or obtained within 30 days from date of hire.
• SGNA certification required within one year of date of hire or eight years of endoscopy experience.
• High School Diploma required; Associate degree in healthcare preferred.
• EMT or Critical Care Tech preferred.
• Two years of healthcare patient care/support experience with some direct patient care/clinical responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist clinical staff with procedures and maintain endoscopy unit cleanliness.
• Inventory supplies and manage stocking according to PAR levels.
• Reprocess endoscopy instrumentation in CSR and pickup sterile equipment.
• Reprocess endoscopes using scope washer and document cycle results.
• Set up equipment in areas outside Endoscopy (SCU, OR, ED).
