Qualifications

• Requires BLS Certification.
• SGNA certification within one year of hire or equivalent endoscopy experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; coursework in medical terminology/health care field.
• EMT or Critical Care tech preferred; associate degree in health care field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inventory supplies in designated areas and order supplies per PAR levels, with end-of-day review.
• Reprocess Endoscopy instrumentation in CSR and pick up sterile equipment.
• Reprocess endoscopes using scope washer and document cycle results.
• Apply knowledge of procedures using and operating the correct equipment for scheduled cases.
• Set up equipment in areas outside Endoscopy (SCU, OR, ED).
