Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking an Endoscopy Unit Assistant to support the Endoscopy Team in the CSR and related areas. You will assist clinical staff with procedures, maintain inventory, reprocess instrumentation, and ensure cleanliness of the Endoscopy Unit.

Responsibilities include setting up equipment, applying endoscopic procedures knowledge, and assisting in areas outside Endoscopy as needed; candidates must have BLS and SGNA certification within specified timelines and be able to lift

Qualifications

• Required: BLS Certification or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Required: SGNA certification within one year of hire or eight years of endoscopy experience.
• Preferred: EMT or Critical Care Tech preferred.
• Preferred: Associate degree in healthcare field.

Responsibilities

• Assist clinical staff with procedures and maintain Endoscopy Unit inventory.
• Reprocess endoscopy instrumentation in CSR and handle sterile equipment.
• Reprocess endoscopes using scope washer and document cycle results.
• Set up equipment in adjacent areas (SCU, OR, ED) as needed.
