Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of SGNA Associates Program preferred.
• 1 year experience in GI preferred.
• 6 months direct patient care experience or endoscopy experience preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and registered nurses during endoscopic and pulmonary procedures.
• Prepare procedure rooms according to endoscopic or pulmonary procedure requirements.
• Perform safety checks to verify equipment function and troubleshoot endoscopes and devices.
• Clean, disinfect, or calibrate scopes or other endoscopic instruments.
• Collect specimens from patients and monitor vital signs during procedures.
