Job summary

Piedmont Cartersville is seeking an Endoscopy Tech to assist physicians in endoscopic and interventional cases, maintain supplies and equipment, and ensure clean, compliant operations in the Endoscopy Department.

Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, you will provide appropriate patient care, perform clerical duties, assemble and maintain patient chart material, keep records organized and charge patients accurately to support Ambulatory Care and Endoscopy services.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of GI/OR Technology program preferred.
• 2 years of Endoscopy Tech experience required.
• Current BLS certification required upon hire.
• GTS/AGTS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists the physician in endoscopic and complex interventional cases.
• Maintains supplies and equipment in the Endoscopy Department in proper working order.
• Cleans and disinfects equipment according to policy.
• Provides patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
• Performs clerical duties to support Ambulatory Care and Endoscopy.

• Completes charges for patients.

Cleans and disinfects equipment according to unit and hospital policy. Provides appropriate patient care to the Ambulatory Care and Endoscopy patient under the direction of the Registered Nurse. Performance of clerical duties as necessary to assure optimal function of Ambulatory Care and Endoscopy. Assemble and maintain patient chart material, maintain records and files, maintains order, cleanliness of the workstation. Completes charges for patients.
