Job summary

Piedmont Fayette Hospital is seeking a part-time Endoscopy/Ambulatory Care support role in the Endo Lab. You will assist physicians during endoscopic procedures, manage supplies, and maintain the workflow under RN guidance.

Responsibilities include charting, disinfection, and essential clerical tasks to ensure smooth patient care. GED or higher required, with GI/OR tech or CNA/MA training preferred, and BLS certification upon hire.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• GI/OR Technology program preferred.
• CNA/MA program preferred.
• Previous experience as Unit Secretary or CNA/MA preferred.
• Experience in Endoscopy preferred.
• BLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists the physician in endoscopic procedures.
• Maintains supplies and equipment in the Endoscopy Department in proper working order.
• Cleans and disinfects equipment according to unit and hospital policy.
• Provides appropriate patient care to Ambulatory Care and Endoscopy patients under RN guidance.
• Performs clerical duties to assure optimal function of Ambulatory Care and Endoscopy.
• Assemble and maintain patient chart material, records and files, maintain order and workstation cleanliness.
• Completes charges for patients.

Performance of clerical duties as necessary to assure optimal function of Ambulatory Care and Endoscopy. Assemble and maintain patient chart material, maintain records and files, maintains order, cleanliness of the workstation. Completes charges for patients.

Qualifications

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
• Graduate of GI/OR Technology program Preferred
• Graduate of CNA/MA program Preferred

Work Experience

• Previous experience as Unit Secretary or as CNA/MA Preferred
• Previous experience in Endoscopy Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Current AHA BLS Certification Upon Hire Required
