Job summary

Mass General Brigham in Boston is seeking a Surgical Tech Endoscopy to support the GI Endoscopy suite and the OR team. In this fast-paced role, you will prepare the operating room, set up sterile supplies, transport patients, pass instruments, and help maintain patient safety and documentation.

The position is onsite at 273 Charles Street, 40 hours weekly with rotating shifts, weekends every six weeks, and holiday coverage as needed. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• CST certification preferred; NBSTSA.
• BLS certification preferred.
• 0-1 year experience as Surgical Technologist; 1-2 years preferred.
• Knowledge of sterile techniques and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures and set up sterile supplies and equipment.
• Transport patients to the operating room and assist with positioning and comfort.
• Pass instruments, supplies and equipment to the surgical team during procedures.
• Follow sterilization techniques to ensure instrument cleanliness and sterility.
• Maintain accurate documentation of surgical procedures including counts of sponges, sharps, and instruments.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologists and other team members.
• Assist in preparing the surgical site with sterile drapes and solutions.
