Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare in Covington, Georgia is seeking a qualified individual to assist physicians in endoscopic procedures. Your responsibilities will include maintaining the supplies and equipment, providing patient care, and performing clerical duties required for optimal functioning of the Ambulatory Care and Endoscopy unit.

Ideal candidates should have at least a high school diploma or GED, and certifications such as Basic Life Support. Previous experience as Unit Secretary or CNA/MA is preferred.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required.
• Graduate of GI/OR Technology program Preferred.
• Graduate of CNA/MA program Preferred.
• Basic Life Support Current AHA BLS Certification Required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the physician during endoscopic procedures.
• Maintain supplies and equipment in working order.
• Clean and disinfect equipment according to policy.
• Provide appropriate patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
• Perform clerical duties to assure optimal function.
• Assemble and maintain patient charts and records.
• Complete charges for patients.
