Endoscopy Center of El Paso is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to support procedures in a busy GI endoscopy center. You will work Monday through Friday with some Saturdays, prepare patients, assist physicians, and care for patients in recovery.
Qualifications include a nursing degree from an accredited program, active RN license, BLS, ACLS recommended, and GI endoscopy experience preferred; English and Spanish proficiency is required.
Endoscopy Center of El Paso is currently searching for PRN Registered Nurse to work Mondays – Fridays and some Saturday's who can work cooperatively with staff and physicians and perform a variety of tasks. Major responsibilities include prepares patients for procedures; assist physician during procedure; provides care for patients in recovery and actively participates in all Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement activities.
Candidate must demonstrate proficiency in acute care nursing, knowledge, and skills, be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, have a current state license to practice as a registered nurse, maintain basic cardiac life support certification and ACLS, and have at least two years of registered nurse experience. Must speak English and Spanish.
Provides individualized and specialized nursing care to patients in the Center during admission, procedure and recovery phases of their admission. Performs in accordance with physician’s orders, recognized nursing techniques, legal aspects of current nurse practice within the state and the Center’s policies and procedures. Functions cooperatively with physicians and staff exhibiting teamwork characteristics. Demonstrates initiative, insight, and judgment in decision making process.
The role is for a PRN, and the Center is open Monday Through Friday, some Saturday's and provides preoperative beds, procedure rooms and post procedure beds. In the working environment of the Center, there may be potential exposure to communicable diseases, contaminated blood and body fluids, and hazardous materials.
