Job summary

Endoscopy Center of El Paso is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to support procedures in a busy GI endoscopy center. You will work Monday through Friday with some Saturdays, prepare patients, assist physicians, and care for patients in recovery.

Qualifications include a nursing degree from an accredited program, active RN license, BLS, ACLS recommended, and GI endoscopy experience preferred; English and Spanish proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current state license to practice as Registered Nurse.
• GI endoscopy experience preferred.
• Maintains Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
• ACLS certification and re-certification recommended.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and completes patient assessments before, during and after procedures.
• Assists physicians during procedures and provides care in recovery.
• Monitors sedation and ensures safety in a GI endoscopy setting.
• Maintains accurate records and communicates with staff and supervisors.
• Participates in quality improvement activities and PI programs.
