Job summary

SCA Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Endoscopy unit at our Novi, MI location. The RN Endoscopy provides perioperative care, administers medications, maintains sterile technique, and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe patient outcomes.

The role emphasizes patient advocacy, discrete handoffs, and adherence to Universal Protocol. Current RN licensure and relevant GI/OR experience are preferred; BLS/ACLS (and PALS if pediatric care is included) are required

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current state nursing licensure in good standing.
• One year GI, OR and/or medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.
• BLS/BCLS certification and ACLS within 90 days of employment; PALS if pediatric care is included.

Responsibilities

• Develop perioperative patient plan of care.
• Protect patient from injury and ensure safe operation of equipment.
• Administer medications using the 8 rights of medication administration.
• Maintain aseptic technique and infection control.
• Communicate patient status throughout the continuum of care.
• Provide hand-off reports to teammates with concise, pertinent information.
• Delegate tasks per state regulations and document care promptly.
