Job summary

The Miriam Hospital, part of Brown University Health, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for per diem pre- and post-endoscopy procedures on a per diem basis. The role supports patients through the full endoscopy care continuum, including preprocedure preparation and postprocedure recovery.

Responsibilities include patient advocacy, documentation, and collaboration with the health team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in RI or a compact state.
• ACLS certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) current.

Responsibilities

• Recognizes and reports deviations from patient norms and documents nursing interventions.
• Provides comfort and support, involving patients and families in daily activities.
• Sets priorities, identifies emergencies, and initiates appropriate interventions.
• Maintains and updates nursing plans; collaborates with the health team to achieve patient outcomes.
• May oversee shift or unit activities and supervise licensed staff.
