Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking an Endoscopy Nursing Assistant to support the Staff Nurse in direct patient care and endoscopy procedures at The Miriam Hospital in Providence, RI. You will position patients, assist with procedures, and ensure room readiness and instrument sterilization.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support certification required.
• RI registration as a CNA or Endoscopy/Surgical tech experience preferred.
• Completion of SGNA program preferred.
• GI Technical Specialist certification expected within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist Staff Nurse with nursing process and patient assessment.
• Prepare Endoscopy room and supplies; assist with procedures.
• Maintain aseptic technique and instrument disinfection.
• Transport patients to and from Endoscopy; monitor patient response.
• Support department quality improvement and record-keeping.
