Job summary

University Cancer & Blood Center is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for its Advanced Endoscopy of Georgia unit. The Endoscopy RN will support preop/PACU operations, provide direct patient care, and participate in cross-training within the facility to enhance patient care and workflow.

The role requires current Georgia RN license and BLS, with 2 years of clinical experience in PACU, GI, surgery or ER preferred. Strong teamwork and independent work abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Current Georgia RN license and BLS required.
• Two years of clinical experience preferred with emphasis in PACU, GI, surgery or ER.
• Ability to work independently and closely with a team.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient understanding of disease process and need for surgical intervention.
• Provide pre/postoperative teaching to patients and families.
• Demonstrate nursing management preoperatively and postoperatively.
• Assess and manage postoperative recovery and anesthesia-related issues.
• Perform safe medication administration and maintain sterile technique.
