Job summary

University Cancer & Blood Center is seeking a full-time RN for the new Advanced Endoscopy of Georgia unit. The RN will support preop/PACU operations, provide direct patient care, and cross-train across areas to enhance teamwork and patient care efficiency.

Responsibilities include assessing recovery, airway management, wound care, and safe med administration while adhering to standards and policies. Strong collaboration with the care team is essential.

Qualifications

• Current Georgia RN license and BLS required.
• Two (2) years’ clinical experience with emphasis in PACU, GI, surgery or ER preferred.
• Ability to work independently and closely with a team.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient understanding and need for surgical intervention.
• Provide pre/postoperative teaching to patient and family.
• Monitor and manage post-anesthesia recovery and airway.
