Job summary

Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH seeks an Endoscopy RN to influence patient care through collaboration with managers and hospital councils. You will evaluate patients pre- and post-surgery and help shape peri-operative care.

Qualifications

• ACLS certification within 30 days of employment start date.
• BLS certification within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN license in NH must be active.
• Associate degree in nursing from an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education about the procedure and peri-operative process.
• Prepare patients including IV therapy, preoperative meds, and surgical site verification.
• Participate in surgical site verification, briefings, timeouts, and debriefings per policy.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies with safe care.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Integrate with an interdisciplinary team including providers and surgical staff.
• Apply nursing process, critical thinking, and leadership to care for patients.
• Assess patient condition, monitor changes, and document care thoroughly.
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment, and follow-up.
