St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center, part of St. David’s HealthCare, is seeking an experienced RN Endoscopy to influence patient care through collaboration with managers and nursing initiatives.

You will participate in a dynamic team, support perioperative processes, and help drive safety and efficiency in the operating room. You will work three shifts per week (Mon, Tue, and a variable day), 7:00 am–3:30 pm, with on-call required during select non-business hours.

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• (RN) Registered Nurse credential required.
• Associate Degree in Nursing or equivalent.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education surrounding the procedure and peri-operative process.
• Prepare patients, including IV therapy, preoperative medications, and surgical site verification.
• Participate in surgical site verification, time out, debriefing, and universal protocols.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while applying evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including providers, surgeons, and surgical staff.
• Apply nursing process, critical thinking, and leadership to deliver safe care.
• Assess patient condition, monitor during shift, and document changes and care provided.
• Educate patients and families about medical condition, treatment, and follow-up.
