Job summary

Charleston GI is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Endoscopy Unit to provide pre- and post-procedure nursing care, following physician orders and established policies. You may supervise other staff and must respond to emergencies, ensuring patient safety in an outpatient GI setting.

Required: SC RN license (or compact state), BLS; ACLS within 6 months if not current. Endoscopy experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school or college of nursing.
• At least one year of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina or a compact state.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS certification required within 6 months if not current.
• Ability to apply nursing theory to patient care and document thoroughly.
• Strong communication and teamwork during procedures and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-procedure and post-procedure nursing care on the Endoscopy Unit.
• Assist with emergency measures as needed and follow physician orders.
• Supervise licensed and unlicensed personnel as directed by nursing leadership.
• Maintain patient safety, documentation, and adherence to policies.
