Charleston GI is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Endoscopy Unit to provide pre- and post-procedure nursing care, following physician orders and established policies. You may supervise other staff and must respond to emergencies, ensuring patient safety in an outpatient GI setting.
Required: SC RN license (or compact state), BLS; ACLS within 6 months if not current. Endoscopy experience is preferred but not mandatory.

The Registered Nurse provides nursing care to patients on the Endoscopy Unit in terms of individual needs, according to physician's orders and in conformity with recognized nursing practice and established policies and procedures. Tasks include, but are not limited to the pre-procedure and post-procedure care of patients scheduled for endoscopic and InterStim procedures. The Registered Nurse initiates and assists with emergency measures as needed. The Registered Nurse may supervise other licensed and unlicensed personnel as instructed by the Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, or Charge Nurse. The center is an outpatient facility equipped for diagnostic and therapeutic GI endoscopy procedures. The patient population includes adolescent through geriatric with over 90% of patients age 30 or older. Medical care is managed by physicians who have been privileged and credentialed by the Board of Directors.
