Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Endoscopy unit at 273 Charles Street seeks a Patient Care Assistant to support daily living activities, vitals, and basic patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Under licensed supervision, you will perform essential tasks, document care, assist with turning and mobility, and help with room turnover and infection control. A $750 sign-on bonus is offered for eligible new hires.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–2 years of patient care or elder care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
• Proficient with electronic medical records.
• Strong patient and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs vital signs, weights/heights, intakes, and outputs with accuracy and within established time frame and/or as requested.
• Completes all documentation in the medical record as required.
• Interacts with patients and their families effectively.
• Helps patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, eating).
• Assists with turning/repositioning patients and moving between bed and wheelchair.
• Reports health concerns to the nurses.
